"description": "Spring-poppet check valve in a 4-port panel-mount manifold, 20 parts, quarter-SECTIONED so the whole working stack reads in one view. Built from scratch against Orchard doctrine: THREADS (add_thread recipe — tip chamfer before, real M27x2 / M14x1.5 / M10x1 external helices; tap-drill D−P for the internal sides; engagement), SPRINGS (compression design: C=9, Wahl-corrected stress, squared-and-ground ends, buckling + solid-height checks), SEALS (AS568 dash selection + gland four-numbers: depth CS(1−c), width 1.35·CS, 25% static squeeze, 60–85% fill), ENGINEERING build order, and the binding plan_build -> build -> critique_design loop. MECHANISM: flow enters the INLET barb (below the seat), pressure lifts the brass Ø22 poppet off the Ø12 seat against the spring, and exits the OUTLET barb from the spring chamber; back-flow presses the poppet's face-gland o-ring (AS568-016, gland cut per SEALS: 2.40 wide x 1.33 deep, 25% squeeze) onto the seat annulus and seals. The poppet's Ø6 stem is guided in the retaining cap's Ø6.2 bore; the cap (REAL M27x2 external thread, hex AF32) compresses an AS568-122 face o-ring on the top boss and its Ø13 pocket seats the spring. A gauge port (above seat) and a drain port (below seat) carry M10x1 socket plugs with -012 o-rings. The manifold bolts to a slotted steel panel via 4x M6 SHCS into mate_fastener_hole taps. CRACKING PRESSURE (the headline number, live-verified): P_crack = spring preload / seat area = 5.6 N / (pi/4 x 12mm^2 = 113.1 mm2) = 0.0495 MPa ~= 0.5 bar (7.2 psi). Spring (calculate_spring, A228 music wire d=1.0, OD=10 -> D=9, C=9, Na=2.5 squared&ground): rate k = G*d^4/(8*D^3*Na) = 5.60 N/mm; modeled at installed 18.5mm (free 19.5, preload 1.0mm -> 5.6N). At full 2.5mm lift F=19.6N: Wahl tau = 522 MPa vs 995 MPa allowable (0.45*Sut) -> n = 1.91. Solid height 4.5mm, slenderness 2.17 (no buckling), wire path 127mm. Cap M27x2 at 10mm engagement carries only ~42N (spring + 0.05 MPa on the cap area) — engagement is wrenching-bound, not strength-bound (THREADS). PARAMETRIC: crack_pressure_bar, seat_bore_mm, spring_rate_n_mm, port_thread_major_mm, oring_seat_dash and body_h_mm are document variables; body_h_mm is live-bound to the body blank and was propagation-tested 46->56->46 (assembly bbox followed: dz 46 -> 56). Cracking pressure re-derives as k x preload / (pi/4 x seat_bore^2); port thread size swaps via the THREADS table (tap drill = D − P); seat o-ring re-sizes via lookup_oring/calculate_gland. DISCLOSED: The cap-bore internal M27x2 misfired (volume guard) and was rolled back via delete_operation — the bore is left at the correct M27x2 tap-drill Ø25 and disclosed (asm-01/04 kernel limitation precedent); the CAP side carries the real modeled thread. Port internal threads (2x M14x1.5, 2x M10x1) are represented at their exact tap-drill bores (Ø12.5 / Ø9, THREADS doctrine D−P) rather than modeled helices — multiple internal threads in one part are an unreliable kernel operation (asm-01/04 LESSONS); the mating fittings/plugs carry REAL modeled external threads, and the screw-in overlap zones are the expected thread engagements. The +X/−Y quadrant of the body above the feet is a deliberate quarter-SECTION display cut so the poppet, spring, seat and flow path read in the browse thumbnail — a real manifold is the full solid (mirror the cut away by deleting the final body operation). Valve spring modeled at its INSTALLED length (18.5mm; free length 19.5mm, 1.0mm preload deflection = 5.6N = 0.5 bar cracking) so the static assembly shows the seated working state. O-rings (3x AS568-016, 1x -122, 2x -012, NBR), the spring, fittings and plugs are procurement items; o-rings are modeled as 12-gon-section rings (kernel torus limitation, LESSONS 2026-09-08) sitting in their glands, and their ~25% squeeze against mating faces is the expected modeled interference. M6 SHCS thread helices economized (shanks at nominal Ø inside the plate taps -> overlap zones ARE the engagements, asm-02..05 treatment); the cap, both fittings and both plugs carry REAL add_thread helical geometry. Skipped steps: body-internal-thread: internal thread guarded out (disclosed)",
